Skatepunk

Summer 2005 I had the chance to go check out Lapland in way northern Finland with Arto Saari and Mark Holder and some of Arto's relatives and friends. I'd been to Finland a couple times and was psyched, but at the last minute couldn't go. From all accounts the trip was very rugged, cold and wet, and just plain gnarly. The kind of trip that may not be all fun when you're on it, but is amazing when you're back. I regret not going. This photo was taken by Mark Holder and it's just so Arto. Doing whatever it takes in any situation to be funny, motivating, relaxing, or to survive. He's a champ.
