Ian MacKaye was interviewed for the VBS.tv series "Soft Focus" with Ian Svenonius, of the Makeup and Nation of Ulysses, and these are some of the best interviews I've seen of MacKaye, who always is interesting to me, and always does good interviews. However, perhaps because Ian and Ian are old friends/acquaintances, the lighter side of MacKaye comes out a little and he seems committed to spending the time on the interview (albeit with a somewhat hasty exit).

Great talk about the music industry, among other things, and well worth the time if you're a fan of underground music.
